I am an English teacher planning to organise an English summer camp for middle and high school children. I would like Polish students to become more fluent in English and at the same time give foreign volunteers an amazing opportunity to immerse themselves in Polish culture by trying local dishes and sightseeing.
No typical lessons are expected. Learning will happen through games, quizzes, conversations and other interactive activities in a friendly environment.
What type of host are you?
- Private individual / family.
What are you looking for help with?
What is the mission of your community?
It is really difficult to overcome a language barrier. The best way to achieve it is by having conversations with native or fluent speakers in a relaxed, friendly environment.
How many volunteers can you host?
- More than two volunteers.
When do you need volunteers?
- Summer 2020.
How many hours of help per day?
Around 8 hours of help per day (full-time, intensive camp with activities and interaction throughout the day).
How many days of help per week?
5 days per week, 2 days off.
Volunteer work and expectations
The detailed programme will be sent to those interested. The main work is from Monday to Friday and includes leading or supporting games, quizzes, conversations and other activities in English.
