Volunteer at a guesthouse in Sri Lanka – I’m looking for volunteers to help me in a cafe, to keep the cafe clean and learn some menu items, and cook for the customers, serve the same. Volunteers with special skills are most welcome. Also, I’m looking for volunteers to help in a family Guesthouse as a receptionist and cleaner or marketing.

The volunteers will learn all the local food we prepare in our cafe and also it’s part of a hostel so the volunteers can meet many people from different countries and also I have a big family so the volunteers also can experience there second home in my place.

Food and accommodation
Food and accommodation are free, but only for volunteers that can manage to stay for 14 days (2 weeks or more). If you are a genuine and skilled volunteer I can offer you free food and accommodation, even if you are going to stay less than 14 days. Feel free to write me an e-mail (see contact details section)

Diet
We have all kinds of food in the cafe including vegan and seafood. We provide food from the cafe. The volunteers can choose 1 item, what they want, from the menu for 2 times meal. Since the items are very expensive, if the volunteers expect to eat everything on the same day then we would charge.
Fees
None, unless… see ‘diet’ paragraph.
If the volunteer leaves the place before the date he/she agreed to stay, then we charge 1000 rs per day no. of days stayed.

Benefits
The volunteers will get a cultural exchange from Srilanka and other parts of the world since the cafe is located inside a hostel. The volunteers will be taken for a local tour during there off and in the evening time on the weekends. The volunteers can help the cafe with whatever talent they have like painting or recipes or marketing etc.
