Volunteering activities
For the moment we are only taking our first steps as an Orphanage Home for the children in need. Our vision and long-term goal for the project is to be self-sustainable in providing shelter, health and educational needs for our kids.
Do you have experience in working or living with children and would like to spend time and share some love with us? You are more than welcome to come and join our efforts. We urgently need support in marketing, online communication and fundraising. You can help us by working on online content support and attracting donors so that we can create new projects that make us independent from outside income sources.
We have many work opportunities for our volunteers. In our children’s primary schools nearby, you can engage by teaching and interacting with the village’s children. Besides that we conduct art classes at the orphanage, that is open for the whole community youth to join.
You can also help us with the construction of a Kids’ Library, a reading and playing centre, that will hopefully help develop a reading culture amongst the children.
We promise you a fun and surprising time. You will work among locally grown up, teens and children, get to know the Ugandan way of life and will be rewarded by the purity of our kid’s smiles every day.
NOTE:
We advise you inform yourself about necessary vaccinations and to bring Malaria medication with you. When travelling to Africa one should not underestimate health. See also: travel insurance.
