We’re excited to share this hands-on, impactful opportunity from Psyclean, a travelling eco-crew that helps reduce waste at open-air electronic music festivals across Europe. Other than a volunteer project, Psyclean is a pop-up community dedicated to changing how people treat the places they party in. Volunteers with Psyclean play a vital role in keeping festivals clean, not just through physical cleanup, but also by spreading awareness and encouraging respectful behaviour among festivalgoers.
The aim is to leave no trace—and maybe even inspire others to do the same.
We are a volunteer project that is travelling to European electronic music open air festivals to change the way how festival guests deal with their garbage. Through positive interactions with visitors and by keeping the party free from trash we can make a difference and can directly experience the impact of our actions. We are convinced that by dealing responsibly with waste, we automatically become more attentive in favour of a respectful treatment of the place where we are, the people who surround us and ultimately ourselves. It is part of our volunteer experience, that we all camp together and create a little pop up community. Our exclusive camp features a cosy community tent that serves as our living room, including electricity and a tea kitchen. We also have our own toilet. In exchange of your contribution the festival provides us with 2 meals per day during the festival and 3 meals during the days of the final clean up. When our work is done, the festival ticket will be refunded.
What it means to be part of the Psyclean Crew
Being part of the crew is both rewarding and demanding.
To join, you need to be 18 or older, camp with the crew, and truly want to be there. Volunteers must complete an application, sign a contract, and buy a pre-sale ticket (which is refunded after you complete your duties). You’ll need your own tent and camping gear, and must arrive at the agreed time on your own.
Volunteer shifts:✅
- 1 × 5-hour shift each day during the festival
- 2 × 8-hour shifts after the festival
Roles include welcoming guests, cleaning the dancefloor, and engaging with campers

A note to prospective volunteers
Voluntouring.org promotes opportunities rooted in cultural exchange and mutual learning. Before applying, ask yourself: Is this a fair exchange, or could it replace paid labour?
Choose consciously, ask questions, and make sure the experience is respectful, safe, and aligned with your values. Always check visa requirements — hosts cannot provide legal work permits.
