The Conte Burica Indigenous Project in southern Costa Rica promotes rural tourism, ethno-tourism, and volunteering, with a focus on biodiversity and indigenous traditions. Volunteers can engage in reforestation, beach clean-ups, sea turtle conservation, community talks, and cultural exchanges. Additional activities include hiking, birdwatching, cocoa harvesting, and organic farming.
The project welcomes volunteers of all ages, hosting up to 10 people year-round. Volunteers work 4-5 hours a day, 4 days a week, with food and accommodation provided. No fees are required, but donations are welcome.
