Tempo di Vivere is an ecovillage located in Camera Vecchia di Calenzano, Bettola, in the Val Perino region of Italy. Established in 2011 as an association for social promotion, it aims to foster environmental and social sustainability through the creation of an intentional community. The ecovillage was inaugurated in 2014.
The community draws inspiration from Manitonquat’s “Way of the Circle,” emphasizing values such as sharing, cooperation, equality, respect for nature, and personal and spiritual growth. Members engage in sharing circles, both emotional and organizational, utilizing horizontal decision-making methods like sociocracy and consensus, rather than majority voting.
A strong commitment to environmental sustainability and ecology is central to their mission. The community strives to integrate individuals with nature, work, and local culture, aiming to serve as a stable reference point for those seeking to walk the path of change and contribute to societal transformation, placing people, relationships, and Mother Earth at the forefront.
